Summer Challenge

NELO Summer Challenge aims to be the best sea and beach race in the world!

The Nelo Summer Challenge is the best ocean surfski race, being held every year for the surfski and the outrigger canoe paddlers. The race of 2020 is cancelled due to COVID-19 disease. . The main race is the 19.5km long downwind course which connects Viana do Castelo to Ofir’s beach in Esposende.

WWR Carbon/Kevlar Epoxy Vacuum This construction is designed for river descents, marathon training, and sea competition. His main features are: stiffness and impact resistance.

G Extra Carbon Foam Epoxy Vacuum Heat Cure High-quality construction, prepared for high performance.

E Carbon/Kevlar Vacuum Heat Cured Was specifically developed for marathon events, it stands out for the balance between its lightness and stiffness. These features gives it an excellent performance in competition.

SCS Solid Composite System Construction with an excellent performance level because of it’s extreme stiffness. Those features are possible because of the high-technology that we use in the moulding of composites. Ideal for high-competition. This construction also stands out for the extras, such as, weights and cover for the boat, and also the possibility of customizing the painting (not included in the price of the boat).

FC Full Carbon The Full Carbon (FC) is a carbon look layup, that mixes different layup techniques and materials, resulting in an outstanding carbon look.
FC is an extremely stiff boat that can support all the power and effort applied into it, while keeping a solid feeling at all time.

AIR Ultralight Weight Was specifically developed for surfski boats, standing out for being extremely lightweight.
It’s especially suited for high performance in all conditions.
